| Autumn Challenge - first competition for the season, and for many new skaters their first competition ever! It was great to see so many new faces. It was a typical first-up event, nervous newcomers, bewildered parents, rusty veterans, exasperated coaches. | |
| However amid the confusion, there were some pretty happy faces when the results were announced. This competition is one where the typical elements of a competitive skating programme are broken into separate events. Eg, spins, footwork etc. There are winners for each event with the overall winner being decided by a formula that rivals cricket's Duckworth Lewis system. |  |
The overall winner for 2003 is Charmelle Dorn.
