The Rose blooms, the Cockerill crows but Centaurus rules the roost !

Imelda Rose-Hegarty and Ricky Cockerill successfully defended their Senior national titles at the Ice Sports Southland complex in Gore during the week of Sep 30 - Oct 3, while Centaurus retained the Allchurch shield for the premier skating club. In what was described by many observers as the highest standard competition in memory, Centaurus skaters claimed 9 national titles, while Caitlyn Paul, Elizabeth O'Neill and Laura Mills were all selected for the New Zealand representative squad to contest the Australian Nationals.  Laura Mills was also nominated to compete in the Dragon Trophy in Slovenia in the New Year.
